Renata Blissett was appointed and creates a conduit between both entities creating a shared connection between the parties. Part of Renata’s focus has been supporting the staff at Plant & Food Research Te Papaioea to lift their cultural confidence in working with Mana Whenua and streamlining consent and compliance requirements, together with Plant & Food Research’s own Tono Site Group. This has also included a three-day learning series on cultural confidence undertaken last year and planned again for this year. Grounded in the WAI262 Best practice principles this programme supports staff to have insights to the histories of the nation of Rangitāne o Manawatū, the Treaty Settlement process undertaken by Rangitāne o Manawatū, applying the best practice principles of WAI262 in their everyday work and a cultural confidence pathway developed specifically for Plant & Food Research staff by Tanenuiarangi o Manawatū.","nodeType":"text"}],"nodeType":"paragraph"},{"data":{},"content":[{"data":{},"marks":[],"value":"Danielle Harris Group CEO of Tanenuiarangi o Manawatū Inc identified that “…this has been one of the key relationships we have been focusing on.
